1. Beyonce Is Having An Affair With Barack Obama
This would certainly be the scandal of the century, reminiscent of JFK’s famous affair with Marilyn Monroe. Unfortunately, this is most likely nothing more than a wild urban legend, originally printed in a French tabloid. There’s absolutely no evidence that points to Queen Bey being romantically involved with President Obama.
2. Tupac Is Alive
To be fair, nearly every deceased music legend is rumored to be still alive and living in anonymity. Tupac is a popular choice for these rumors, as are Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Kurt Cobain.
3. Miley Cyrus Was Murdered And Replaced By A Lookalike
Perhaps the most outrageous on our list is the crazy rumor that Miley Cyrus was murdered and replaced by a doppelganger. The rumor started around the time that Miley ditched her good girl image and embraced her inner wild child. While this would certainly explain her change of image, it’d be hard to find someone who looked and sang exactly like the “Wrecking Ball” singer.
4. Joe Jonas Made A BDSM Sex Tape
Around the time that the Jonas Brothers split up, rumors were flying that member Joe Jonas made a sex tape that was straight out of “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The details and descriptions were downright scandalous, but to this day, no tape has ever materialized.
5. Oprah And Gayle Are Lesbian Lovers
Can’t a couple of girls just be best friends? The rumor that Oprah Winfrey and her best friend Gayle King are actually romantically involved has been persistent since Oprah first started featuring Gayle on her program. While we’ll never know the truth, all signs point to these two just being best friends.
6. Khloe Kardashian And Steve Martin Are Dating
This is perhaps the most random rumor on the list! Besides the fact that both are in separate relationships, there’s literally nothing that would lead anyone to believe that Khloe Kardashian and Steve Martin have ever been involved.
7. Kristen Stewart And Robert Pattinson Were A Publicity Stunt
During the heyday of the popularity of the “Twilight”
franchise, fans were just as captivated by the off-screen relationship of the film’s two stars as they were by the on-screen romance. The relationship of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson was heavily covered in the tabloid media, but some have speculated that they were never anything more than a long publicity stunt designed to promote their films.
8. Marisa Tomei Didn’t Actually Win Her Oscar
This is one of the most persistent Hollywood urban legends. The legend goes that Marisa Tomei didn’t actually win her 1992 Best Supporting Actress Oscar, but that the presenter just read the wrong name. While this would be fun to believe, the Academy has come out and confirmed that not only did Marisa rightfully win, but that if a mistake like that were to occur, the Academy would admit their blunder.
9. Jamie Lee Curtis Is A Hermaphrodite
Jamie Lee Curtis might be one of the most gorgeous Hollywood legends, but for years, she’s been the center of a rumor that claims that she was born with both male and female genitalia. Jamie Lee has acknowledged the rumor publicly, stating that she is in fact all woman.
10. Walt Disney Is Cryogenically Frozen Underneath Disneyland
“Frozen” isn’t just Disney’s latest smash hit. It also happens to be the state in which the company’s founder, Walt Disney, is purported to be preserved in. While it’s nice to think that one day medical science would have the ability to resurrect Walt Disney so that he could return to the helm of his company and create new classic films, it’s simply not going to happen. Not only has his family confirmed that Walt is not frozen, but they have stated that he was not even familiar with the concept of cryogenics at the time of his death.
11. Beyonce Was Never Pregnant
Beyonce sure is at the center of a lot of ridiculous celeb rumors! There are entire websites devoted to trying to prove that Beyonce didn’t actually carry daughter Blue Ivy. While there are some odd photos where Bey’s pregnant stomach seems to fold in a weird manner, they can easily be explained by the fabric bunching in her dress or shapewear.
12. Marilyn Manson Was On “The Wonder Years”
Since the beginning of his career, shock rocker Marilyn Manson has been plagued by the rumor that he played Paul on “The Wonder Years.” However, this has been proven completely untrue. Paul was played by Josh Saviano, who left Hollywood to become an attorney.
